These terms apply to the Verifi service, operated by NOVOGROUP SYSTEMS S.R.L. By placing an order, the customer confirms that they have read and accept these terms, the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Returns Policy and Verifi Guarantee.
1. Who we are
Verifi is a private service for checking and analysing public or official information about properties and companies. Verifi is not ANCPI, OCPI, ANAF, ONRC, ANPC, a notary public, lawyer, authorised valuer, financial auditor, rating agency or public institution, and is not affiliated with these institutions.
The service aggregates, structures and explains public or official information relevant to checking a property or company. The Verifi report is for information purposes and does not replace the checks or professional opinions of a notary, lawyer, valuer, accountant, auditor, bank or competent authorities.
2. What Verifi offers
Verifi offers digital services for checking and analysing public or official information. The offering may include reports on properties identified by address, cadastral number or map, company reports identified by CUI, extracts and interpretations from public sources, one-off checks on sellers, owners, companies or contractual partners, and other services displayed in the application.
The available services, the contents of each package, applicable limitations and current prices are displayed in the Services section of the website or during the order process before payment. Where a commercial description differs from these terms, these terms apply to legal limitations, data protection, withdrawal, refunds and permitted use.
3. Price, ordering and payment
Prices are displayed in the Services section or during the order process, in RON, and include VAT where applicable. Payment is made online through a secure processor. Verifi does not collect or store card details.
Payment is processed through the processor displayed at checkout. Card details, 3D Secure authentication and anti-fraud checks are handled by the payment processor, not by Verifi.
The order is concluded when the customer confirms checkout, accepts the terms and conditions, agrees to immediate delivery of digital content where applicable, and payment is confirmed by the processor.
The technical steps are as follows: the customer selects the service, identifies the property or company, checks the summary and total price, enters the required details, can go back to correct errors, gives the required consents separately and presses the payment button showing the amount. The language of the contract is Romanian. Verifi retains the order details and the version of the terms accepted; the customer receives confirmation by email and can subsequently view the order and deliverable through the secure link or their account, for as long as access is available.
The deliverable is a PDF report and/or a web report, which can be opened in a modern browser and, for PDFs, in a compatible reader. Each product's functionality, sources, verification date and limitations are displayed before payment and in the deliverable. The service is not a subscription and does not involve automatic renewal unless checkout expressly states otherwise.
4. Manually entered data, Casa Verde and special checks
If automatic property identification does not work, the customer can manually enter property details. These details are used for identification, configuring the checks and generating the report.
The Casa Verde list is an informational waiting list. Signing up does not create an obligation to order and can be withdrawn by emailing [email protected].
Seller verification services are subject to the same rules: one-off checks, a legitimate purpose and no freely published profiles. Verifi does not request the CNP as a separate input; if a CNP appears in the official source document, it may be processed temporarily for extraction and is masked before the result is displayed.
For a company report, the customer enters the CUI of the entity they wish to check and confirms the identity found before payment. The CUI being checked is separate from the buyer's details and the details used for the invoice. The report analyses the information available at the time of generation; it does not certify creditworthiness, future solvency, quality of work or performance of a contract.
5. Customer obligations
The customer must:
- enter accurate details about the property or company being checked and about the order;
- use the report only for a legitimate verification and risk management purpose;
- not redistribute the report publicly, resell it, extract its data automatically or turn it into a database about owners, companies or individuals;
- not use the service for harassment, discrimination, doxing, fraud or other unlawful purposes;
- respect the rights of owners and third parties.
For services that include seller or owner analysis, the customer confirms that they have a legitimate purpose for checking the property, for example before a transaction, for financing, valuation, advice or risk management. This confirmation does not transfer Verifi's GDPR responsibility to the customer, but establishes the permitted purpose of using the report.
6. Data about owners and people associated with companies
Some services may include data about property owners, obtained indirectly from public registers or official documents. Verifi relies on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest, for this processing.
The notice for owners, under Art. 14 GDPR, is published at verifi.ro/proprietari. Owners can submit an objection to [email protected], including a reference to the property.
Company reports may include the names and published roles of directors, shareholders, beneficial owners or other people associated with the company. The dedicated notice for these people is published at verifi.ro/persoane-firme.
The fact that information comes from public sources does not remove GDPR requirements. Where data identifies an individual, it remains personal data, and Verifi has a legal basis, provides transparency and offers a channel for requests.
7. Right of withdrawal and immediate delivery
The Verifi service is digital content and/or a digital service within the meaning of OUG no. 34/2014. The consumer normally has a 14-day right of withdrawal under Art. 9 of OUG no. 34/2014.
For a report or data supplied as digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal may be lost after performance begins only if the conditions of Art. 16(1)(m) of OUG no. 34/2014 are met: prior express consent, confirmation of acknowledgement and confirmation of the contract on a durable medium.
For a component that constitutes a service, merely starting it does not automatically extinguish the right of withdrawal. The exception in Art. 16(1)(a) applies after full performance and only under the conditions laid down by law; if a consumer has requested that performance begin during the withdrawal period and withdraws before completion, they may owe only the proportionate amount provided for by law. Checkout asks separately for a request for immediate performance and confirmation of acknowledgement.
The consumer can use the Withdraw from the contract here function without giving a reason, or the model form and contact details in the Returns Policy. Confirmation of the request and the order details are sent on a durable medium, usually by email.
8. Verifi Guarantee and refunds
Refunds and cases of non-conformity are described in the Returns Policy. Verifi's operational guarantee is described separately in the Verifi Guarantee.
In brief, Verifi guarantees that it:
- states the source and date of important information in the report;
- delivers the report in accordance with the service or package purchased;
- corrects errors or issues a refund when Verifi is at fault;
- responds within 48 hours to reported technical faults.
Verifi does not guarantee that public registers are accurate, that a transaction will be completed or that the report is sufficient without professional advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Verifi's total liability for an order is limited to three times the amount paid for the service in that order.
This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, GDPR rights, statutory rights concerning the conformity of digital services, the right to a refund or other liabilities that cannot legally be limited, including under Law no. 193/2000 on unfair terms and Law no. 363/2007.
10. Emails and feedback
Verifi sends transactional emails relating to orders, delivery, accounts, support, invoices and security.
Approximately 48 hours after delivery, Verifi may send a single feedback email about the customer's experience, without a discount code or commercial offer. The email includes a simple unsubscribe option.
Commercial communications, if any, will be sent only with consent or as permitted by law.
11. Data protection
Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Notice for owners. Verifi does not request a CNP as a separate input. A CNP present in an official document may be processed temporarily for extraction, but is masked before display and is not shown in full in the report. Card details are processed by the payment processor, not by Verifi.
Conversations with Verifi AI and the artefacts displayed are retained for 90 days for service delivery, support, safety, quality, and product and commercial analysis. Google Cloud Vertex AI processes requests to generate responses. In F1, Verifi does not use conversations to train models. Verifi AI may explain and recommend Verifi products based on the user's question. For access and deletion, write to [email protected]. This period may be extended where there is a legal retention obligation or an applicable legal hold.
12. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by Romanian law, including the Civil Code, OUG no. 34/2014, OG no. 21/1992, Law no. 365/2002, Law no. 363/2007, Law no. 506/2004 and GDPR.
Complaints should first be sent to [email protected]. For official information on consumer protection, visit anpc.ro.
Alternative dispute resolution: consumers can contact the Direcția de Soluționare Alternativă a Litigiilor (Direcția SAL) within ANPC. Details and conditions are available at anpc.ro/ce-este-sal.
