How we design and test the Verifi service, which technologies are compatible and which known limitations still need to be addressed.

Verifi aims to make its e-commerce services, forms, payment process and web deliverables perceivable, operable and understandable to as many people as possible. This statement describes the verifiable state of the product and does not claim absolute conformity or external certification.

1. Target standard

We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a technical benchmark, together with the requirements applicable to e-commerce services under Law no. 232/2022. We focus in particular on keyboard navigation, visible focus, form labels and errors, contrast, reflow at 320 CSS px and text enlargement without loss of content or functionality.

Final legal applicability, including any statutory exemption based on business size, must be confirmed by the operator and legal adviser. Accessible design remains the product's goal regardless of any exemption.

2. Features and compatibility

  • web pages and reports use semantic HTML headings, landmarks, lists, tables and controls;
  • important forms can be navigated using a keyboard, have persistent labels and announce errors or confirmations in text;
  • customer-facing content is designed for small screens, landscape orientation, zoom and reduced-motion preferences;
  • the service is intended for modern Chromium, Firefox and Safari/WebKit browsers, with JavaScript and current TLS;
  • payment is completed on the selected processor's interface, which may have its own technologies and accessibility statements.

3. Testing

For this version, we ran automated tests focused on component structure and contracts, plus local visual checks on desktop and mobile viewports, including reflow at 320 CSS px, contrast of updated elements and touch target size. These local checks do not constitute accessibility certification.

4. Known limitations

  • some legacy PDF documents may not yet have a fully tagged structure for screen readers; where available, the companion web report offers an HTML alternative, but is not automatically declared a legal substitute for the PDF;
  • interactive maps and content provided by third-party registers or processors may have limitations that are not entirely within Verifi's control;
  • final independent validation on real hardware, including Mobile Safari, Samsung Internet, VoiceOver and NVDA, will be carried out separately; confirmed findings will be published and addressed according to their impact;
  • there may be historical wording, components or documents that need remediation; confirmed issues are prioritised according to their impact on task completion.

5. Feedback and alternative format

If you encounter a barrier, write to [email protected], specifying the page, the action you wanted to take, the browser or assistive technology used and, where possible, a screenshot. Do not send passwords, card details or a CNP. We can provide the information in a reasonable alternative format and will acknowledge receipt within the published support timeframe.
